    • ]]>     Economic news this am shows oil prices falling to their lowest levels in over a year. Prices have fallen 50% from July highs to $72.10 in overnight trading. Is this good news? Depends how it is looked at. The equities market has taken nearly the same beating from its all-time highs, unemployment is sky rocketing, banks are dropping like flies and the housing market is . . . well you get the picture.

    Even with emergency interest rate cuts, stimulus packages, bail-out packages and rebate checks, the economy continues to slow according to the Fed’s Beige Book yesterday.

    As for the silver lining, oil prices could still be high in the wake of the current economic disaster our beloved George Bush has unleashed on the entire planet.
