Nighthawk Gaining Notoriety
In the midst of my fishing for relevant information on the M2M industry, I first stumbled upon some very impressive analyst forecasts. As I scrolled down the Article however, realized that the first company name attached to the document was none other than Nighthawk Systems Inc. (OTCBB: NIHK).
This is great for NIHK from a business perspective. Being the featured company in a leading online periodical for a booming industry. With Berg Insight AB, http://www.berginsight.com/, projecting global wireless M2M modules shipments for utility meters to reach 4.5 million in 2011, up from and estimated 1.85 in 2007 and 1.55 in 2006, the future looks very bright for Nighthawk if they can stay in the limelight and keep making improvements to the current revenue run rate. NIHK Should Be Resilient In a Trying 2008
Given today's extremely uncertain economic climate, investors are paying closer attention to where they put their money than ever before. As inflation hits a 17- year high and everyday items such as gasoline, milk, and even beer chip away at a growing percentage of our paychecks, the search is on for stocks that will pull their weight in the New Year.
This year will have many opportunities fighting for their chance to decorate your stock ticker, but with the outlook for 2008 far more uncertain than that of 1998, it is important to do your research. This time of year, the consumer shifts focus financially and we should see some changes in the market.
Where, Oh Where, Do Your Dollars Go?
Already looking to be well-poised to perform in 2008 is Nighthawk Systems Inc. (OTCBB: NIHK) which we have been tracking for the better part of two years. Subscribers likely know more about NIHK than they want or need to but knowing your animal is vital when every investing dollar affects the bottom line more than ever.
Now boasting a pair of high-potential business segments rooted in two burgeoning markets M2M (machine-to-machine) and IPTV (Internet Protocol Television) - NIHK has positioned itself to cash in on a pair of major trends that should hold steady despite the ongoing economic slowdown. Haven't you heard? IPTV is the new satellite.
Nighthawk is Moving with the Market
With products and services that capitalize on both the world's need to conserve energy and the next step in the video signal revolution, Nighthawk has built a very solid business over the past few years. Among recent successes, NIHK has recently announced its best quarter in 4 years, the largest remote disconnect order in corporate history, and initial shipments from the newly-acquired IPTV set-top box business. So, clearly measurable progress is being made from an operational standpoint.
Today's news is excellent because it quite accurately exhibits Nighthawk's ability to turn first-time customers into long-term business partners. Nebraska Public Power District ("NPPD") has been working with NIHK for more than three years in effort to expand their remote disconnect initiative, just like many other energy-related utilities. With the technology age churning out revolutionary products seemingly daily, long standing customers in an industry like NIHK's is a testament, not only to their caliber of product, but to their staying power in the marketplace.
Make a Client vs. Keep a Client
If you're not seeing the trend here, check back through NIHK's string of press throughout '07. It's chock full of news regarding orders and more importantly re-orders from the likes of Verizon Wireless as well as numerous utilities throughout the country including El Paso Electric, Southwest Arkansas Electric Cooperative, and Cheyenne Light, Fuel & Power Company.
Nighthawk's ability to generate first-time and repeat business in such a rapid fashion has greatly accelerated its growth rate to date. This is evidenced by management stating that in Q3 was their best in 4 years and also that during the quarter they sold and produced more CEO700 whole house disconnect devices than in any quarter in its history. Please remember that this best quarter was without any IPTV sales (no shipments until Q4), which are now starting to provide a very nice boost to the already surging growth rate.
IPTV - The Video Revolution
In terms of consumer adoption, Internet Protocol Television (IPTV), viewed by many as the next step in the video revolution, is an industry set to explode. More specifically, analysts envision the market to house 50 million subscribers by '09 and be worth nearly $40 billion by '10. Although these may be optimistic industry outlooks, NIHK is already shipping set-top boxes to customers in effort to fulfill orders valued at just under $900,000. For a company that logged about that during '06, I like what I'm seeing from this newly acquired venture.
In regards to the M2M space, research firm IDATE forecasts the market to potentially reach $270 billion by 2010. While largely focused in the wonderful world of energy-related utilities, NIHK has sold horizontally through various alliances into applications such as traffic control, exhaust fan control, and many others. Since their products can essentially turn any electrical device on or off remotely, growth in the M2M space should translate into growth for NIHK, particularly as they strive to explore new applications for their products as well as alliances that help increase their brand recognition.
2008 is shaping up to be a year in which emerging small-cap ventures thrive due to their niche positions in resilient markets, while other not-so-lucky ventures fall by the wayside. Luckily, NIHK is strongly positioned in 2 resilient markets. With the stock now teetering on a bottom while showing some strong upwards momentum in recent days as the broader market gets crunched, Nighthawk Systems Inc. should be on your radar screen going forward if it isn't already.
Don't forget, the stock ran up to its 52-week high of $.24 last April on much weaker fundamentals and with nowhere near the growth potential currently being exhibited. So, we could be in for another bull run if growth continues at such a rapid pace.Labels: Automated Meter Reading, IPTV, M2M, Nighthawk, Nighthawk Systems, Nighthawk Systems Inc., NIHK, Remote Disconnect, Smart Metering
Solid News Out of NIHK
Nighthawk Systems Inc. (OTCBB: NIHK) shares appear to be reaching a bottom after being beat down considerably over the past three months and today’s news could be just what it takes to incite a move upwards.
Now competing in two burgeoning markets - M2M (machine-to-machine) and IPTV (Internet Protocol Television) – NIHK announced an initial order for their landmark CEO700 wireless disconnect units today from Central Hudson Gas & Electric. The new customer is a wholly-owned subsidiary of CH ENERGY GRP HLDG (NYSE:CHG), which logged just under $1 billion in 2006 revenues, serves more than 371,000 clients across the state of New York, and trades in the $40.00 range.
One thing that I like very much about today’s release is that NIHK was able to successfully customize their remote disconnect solution to meet the needs of a major utility. Over roughly the past year, Nighthawk has exhibited their dedication to becoming more of a flexible solutions provider as opposed to a box slinger, as I have mentioned previously.
This is great for the company because it helps build their reputation as a value-added partner. In my opinion a key attribute that potential customers, particularly energy-related utilities, are looking for in vendors these days as they delve deeper into the new world of smart metering and remote disconnect technologies.
What would you rather, somebody who hands you a box and tells you “here, use it” or a value added partner that evaluates your specific situation and molds a solution to your problem? It seems like a very simple choice and that electric utilities are increasingly making it in favor of NIHK.
Another thing that I find interesting about today’s release is that the company is gaining a major foothold in New York, a region striving to reduce energy consumption with major support from its government. With Governor Eliot Spitzer calling to reduce state resident’s energy bills through the implementation of smart metering technology, NIHK is positioning itself in a market with very high growth potential for its remote disconnect products. http://readme.readmedia.com/news/show/Green-Response-to-Govs-2008-State-of-the-State-Address/34415
With NIHK recently announcing its best quarter in 4 years, the largest remote disconnect order in corporate history, and initial shipments from the newly-acquired IPTV set-top box business, we are very optimistic in regards to what the next few months hold for the companyLabels: CHG, IPTV, M2M, Nighthawk, Nighthawk Systems Inc., NIHK
Motorola Expects Big Things From IPTV Market
Motorola Expects Big Things from IPTV Market
It appears that Nighthawk Systems Inc. (OTCBB: NIHK) picked the right market, particularly if IPTV expert Motorola is on point with recent estimates on industry growth. Motorola expects that:
The residential IPTV subscriber base to balloon from nearly 4.6 at the end of ’06 to nearly 60 million by the end of 2011; and Shipments of IPTV set-top boxes to reach 7 million in 2007 and grow to more than 20 million by the end of 2011.
Now coming to market with an industry leading M2M and IPTV products, NIHK is beginning to gain some serious traction in two of the world’s hottest markets. Labels: IPTV, M2M, Motorola, Nighthawk, Nighthawk Systems Inc., NIHK
Nighthawk Nails Another One
With the U.S. Dept. of Energy estimating an investment of approximately $412 billion dollars (or roughly the Federal Deficit in FY 2004) will be required to provide enough additional electrical generating capacity to fuel the country over roughly the next quarter century - the need to conserve power is reaching epic proportions. Another Big (Repeat) Order In a world where conservation is crucial, Nighthawk Systems Inc. (OTCBB: NIHK) is cashing in on its proven ability to develop Telemetry or M2M products capable of remotely controlling virtually any electronic device in the world - from your kitchen light to a diesel generator. Announcing a deal today with El Paso Electric (one of NIHK's largest historical customers) as part of an ongoing automation program, the company continues to log progressively larger orders and revenue figures with a growing number of repeat and first time customers. S imply put, business has never been better!Big Names - Big Contracts For those of you that are new to the deal, just one year ago, NIHK closed at $.04 (3/31/06). Since then, the stock has trended upwards, reaching a high of close to $.25, before settling back into the dime range where its sits today. The run up has been by no means artificial. Nighthawk is now experiencing record revenue growth and positioning itself for very bright future in the surging M2M space via partnership with a terrific trio of telemetry partners in Verizon Wireless, American Messaging (formerly SBC Global), and Skytel (a division of Bell Industries). Improving Utility Efficiencies As electricity consumption increases (EIA estimates 40% bump in usage by 2030), trumping today's record levels - electrical utilities are still faced with an age old problem: Even as costs skyrocket and demand increases, it's the utility not the consumer that feels the pinch. This is evidenced by electricity prices failure to keep pace with inflation during 1985-2000 (1.1% vs. 2.4% per yr.) as well as consumption reaching record levels today as average household spending declines. In effort to optimize efficiencies and not get buried, the industry invests heavily in improvement. With electrical companies expending an estimated $1.9 billion on Demand Side Management (DSM) programs in '05 and saving enough electricity during 1985-2000 to power nearly 74 million average U.S. homes for one year - the willingness to pay for infrastructure enhancement is quite evident. A Diamond in the Rough?Although other options exist for quenching America's growing thirst for natural resources exist - such as simply ramping up current production levels and developing alternative/renewable energy sources - becoming more energy efficient is by far the most economical choice and seems to be where the industry is placing its chips for the time being. This is where NIHK is poised to build a much improved position in the surging M2M marketplace - and remember - electrical utility optimization is just one of many potential cash cow applications at Nighthawk's fingertips (check the 7/11/07 on cell tower automation deal w/ Verizon) With Nighthawk expecting to report "its highest quarterly revenue results in four years, with revenues increasing more than 50% over the first quarter of 2007 and approximately 35% over the same quarter in 2006" and all industry trends pointing towards go, we think that NIHK is on the verge of building a blockbuster M2M hardware company. NIHK Releases 2006 Financials, Message From CEO
Good morning! We filed our 10-KSB yesterday afternoon with SEC, and this morning the following release went out announcing the results included in the filing. As I had previously announced, revenues of approximately $900,000 2006 were 70% higher than for 2005. I’m even more pleased that the growth enabled gross profits to more than double from 2005 to 2006! Margins were not sacrificed in order to grow; in fact, increased sales activity and promotional efforts by the Company led to some higher margin industrial applications later in the year with companies like Verizon Wireless, and already in 2007 with DaimlerChrysler. While it’s great that we grew throughout the year and that has continued so far in 2007, we’re definitely trying to take it to another level in 2007. While I cannot go into specifics, I mention in the release that we have a handful of larger opportunities out there. These opportunities have been generated by our own people in some cases with existing customers, and in some cases, it’s been the overall increased exposure of our Company through public relations and marketing efforts that have created opportunities with potentially new customers. I think you will continue to see us align with strategic partners during the remainder of 2007, and we’ve already announced that we’re taking steps to add services, like our Web-enabled interface, that will make it easier for our customers to use more of our products. We’re definitely being proactive in trying to land some larger deals. I would definitely like to add some services to our current product offering in an effort to generate additional, recurring revenue for the Company. I certainly like the trends that I’m seeing in our targeted markets, and think the needs for our products and solutions will only continue to grow. All of the above is being done with the obvious idea of making more money, and lessening our dependence on outside funding sources. We did incur a lot of expense this past year on promoting and funding the Company, while actually spending less on salaries and other headcount-related expenses from 2005 to 2006. I do hope that our shareholders recognize that the money has been spent on generating additional exposure of the Company and its products, and that this has in turn led to additional sales opportunities and revenues. I think that over the past year, there has definitely been a better correlation between the news put out by the Company, and the associated increases in revenues and gross margins produced by the Company. Lastly, I want to comment very briefly on the time it took to file our 10-KSB this year. We had filed our last several quarterly reports on time with the SEC without any extensions, and we certainly aimed to so with the 10-K by filing it by the end of March. However, we had new audit personnel on our engagement this year, including two brand new audit partners that worked very hard in getting the job done right. Some complicated accounting rules didn’t help either. So I fielded a ton of questions from shareholders over the past couple of weeks and we ended up going right to the deadline with our extension and filing yesterday. I want each of you to know that it is always our goal to file our reports on time, and I apologize for any confusion caused over the last two weeks. Have a great day! Doug H. Douglas SaathoffChief Executive Officer Nighthawk Systems, Inc. Nighthawk Systems Releases Fiscal 2006 Results--Revenues Increase 70%----Gross Profit Increases 126%--
SAN ANTONIO, TX – 4/18/06- Nighthawk Systems, Inc. (OTC BB: NIHK), a leading provider of intelligent wireless power management and emergency notification solutions, announced today that revenues for 2006 were $899,175 as compared to $589,689 in 2005, a 70% increase between years. Gross profit more than doubled between years and gross margins increased from 30% to 40% between years as the increase in products sold between years led to better production efficiencies. The net loss between years increased from ($2.7) million in 2005 to ($3.7) million in 2006 due to increased expenses for consulting and public relations activities, as well as interest expense associated with the Company’s debt. The net loss per share improved from ($0.07) per share in 2005 to ($0.05) per share in 2006. The increase in revenues between years was attributed to a sustained sales and marketing effort that began in 2005 and was enhanced in 2006 with the addition of new sales and marketing staff. Sales to both new and existing customers contributed significantly to revenues during fiscal 2006, with sales to new customers accounting for approximately 60% of total revenues for 2006. H. Douglas Saathoff, Nighthawk’s CEO, commented, “I’m extremely pleased with the steady growth and progress made throughout 2006. Sustained sales and marketing efforts decreased our historical dependence on a few customers as we added many new electrical utilities to our customer base and began to uncover new, industrial applications for our products. This incremental growth and the resultant exposure of the Company and its products has led to a handful of larger opportunities that we hope to capitalize on in 2007. We made important additions to our team in the latter stages of 2006 to help with these opportunities, and have recently announced the development of new Web-enabled services that should assist us with those opportunities this year.” Mr. Saathoff also added, “I’m also pleased that the growth in revenues is starting to filter down to better operating results as well. By selling more products into more industrial applications, we were able to increase our gross margins significantly. I think it is important to note that payroll and payroll-related expenses actually decreased from 2005 to 2006, yet I feel we’re a more capable team today than ever before. We’re off to a good start so far in 2007, and I look forward to continuing the trends that we started in 2006.” About Nighthawk Systems, Inc.Nighthawk is a leading provider of intelligent wireless power control products that enable simultaneous activation or de-activation of multiple assets or systems on demand. Message From NIHK CEO on 3/13/07
Good morning!
The following release went out this morning and contains a few comments from me on recent sales activity. It also begins to introduce to the public the fact that I think Nighthawk can be well positioned to benefit from changes taking place in the electric utility market. If utilities continue to do business as they always have, they will need to generate more power. However, doing so may generate harmful effects on our environment, so there is a lot of pressure against the generation of more electricity. TXU and their scrapped plans of building a handful of coal burning generation facilities serve as a great example. Without getting into a long political discussion, utilities are going to have to continue to adjust to the fact that there is not a limitless supply of power available to meet growing demand for power. If their demand surges, utilities that do not generate their own power are often forced to buy power at a cost that is higher than they can sell it.
I believe that Baltimore Gas & Electric recently raised their rates more than 70% to customers! Many states are going to time of use billing, or even variable time of use billing under which consumers may pay variable rates from day to day based on varying levels of demand.
This rapidly changing environment has fostered many ‘green’ initiatives, aimed at building more energy efficient homes/buildings or simply using less electricity. I think it is no coincidence that Nighthawk has made some recent sales to large companies (Verizon Wireless and DaimlerChrysler) that could be considered ‘green’ applications. Verizon Wireless is using Nighthawk equipment to meet new rules adopted by the State of New Jersey to limit the use of diesel generators on air quality alert days. This prevents unnecessary pollution on bad air days.
DaimlerChrysler will use our equipment to better manage the amount of heat escaping from their plant by controlling the huge exhaust fans around the facility. By doing so, they will use less electricity, which in turn has a positive effect on the environment. I believe that the need to control energy-using machines in order to limit their use of electricity will continue to grow as utilities and their customers are forced to find ways to be more efficient with available sources of electricity.
The ‘green’ movement should have a positive effect on the market for Nighthawk products.
H. Douglas Saathoff Chief Executive Officer Nighthawk Systems, Inc Nighthawk Systems Discusses Recent Sales, Green Applications for Products
SAN ANTONIO , TX – 3/13/07 - Nighthawk Systems, Inc. (OTC BB: NIHK), a leading provider of intelligent wireless power management and emergency notification solutions, today commented on recent sales activity at the Company and potential future applications for its products.
H. Douglas Saathoff, Nighthawk’s CEO, commented, “I’m extremely pleased that we ended last year on a high note, and I’m very happy that we’ve continued that year-over-year growth trend into 2007. While we’ve continued to sell our core products to utilities and for rebooting applications, I’m particularly pleased that we’ve had recent sales to large companies like Verizon Wireless and DaimlerChrysler. The Nighthawk brand continues to grow as we extend our reach through direct marketing and channel partners like American Messaging. We’re doing a lot of work internally to develop software interfaces to our equipment which I believe will make it easier for our customers to use our products, and lead to larger sales volumes. Our goal is to be more than an equipment vendor for our customers – we want to be their telemetry solutions partner.”
Mr. Saathoff continued, “I believe that Nighthawk products will be important to green initiatives that are aimed at using less energy or improving the effect of energy production on the environment. Verizon Wireless is limiting the use of diesel generators to avoid polluting the environment, and DaimlerChrysler is controlling exhaust fans in order to regulate heat in their engine plant. I believe that the ability to easily and remotely control devices will play an increasingly important role in energy conservation as companies and consumers look to gain efficiencies in how they utilize available electricity supplies.
Simply put, many devices today use power when they don’t need to. In the near future, devices will need to be shut down on demand based on unpredictable external factors like weather and usage by others. Limited energy production resulting in variable, real time pricing from utilities may force consumers and utilities to make rapid decisions to turn off pool pumps, hot water heaters or air conditioners. If utilities can’t supply enough power, the rate paid by customers for the available power will increase. Through existing relationships with utilities and continued product enhancement, we hope to position Nighthawk to be a leader in providing products for these applications as they develop. I believe we’ll see the number and size of applications for our products continue to grow as the U.S. and the rest of the world seeks to become more efficient with available sources of electricity.” About Nighthawk Systems, Inc. Nighthawk Electric Rockstar
Highlighting the company's new found Rock Star status in the Utility sector, Nighthawk Systems Inc. (OTCBB: NIHK) announced today that internal sales of related products (largely its CEO700 units) more than doubled in 2006 compared to 2005. Even more impressively, management also noted that in addition to superb 2006 revenues from utility sales which were up 120% over '05, Nighthawk's growth trend has continued thus far in '07, both in terms of utility and overall sales. 10 New Contracts This is no surprise since NIHK has inked (to public knowledge) nearly 10 new contracts with an ideal mix of first-time and recurring customers since January 1st, not to mention a blockbuster deal in December with Verizon Wireless.Since we first profiled NIHK back in February of 2006, we stated that in order for Nighthawk to achieve greatness, it was imperative that the company take any steps necessary to establish a well-known, nationwide brand throughout the utility industry. Once Nighthawk got a foot in the door, business was sure to follow. This is largely due to NIHK's ability to present an exceptionally unique and impressive ROI case. For those of you unsure of what the Return on Investment (ROI) case is here, let's talk a little about how Nighthawk adds value to client processes in the utility industry. Although the study referenced below is a few years old, costs to NIHK utility customers have done nothing but increase with the recent surge in fuel prices around the country, adding further value to NIHK's offering. A 2004 survey of 118 utilities conducted by utility industry research firm Chartwell Inc. found that more than 55% of electric utilities use, plan-to-use, or are considering using technologies that allow for the remote connect/disconnect of energy meters such as those offered by NIHK. Additional findings from the report estimate that approximately 2.3% of the United States' electric meters were individually disconnected and reconnected on more than 4 occasions resulting in estimated costs of nearly $1.2 billion dollars for utility providers. Due to its expertise and experience in deploying wireless remote control solutions, Nighthawk has been hitting the pavement to expose the market on its ability to cut costs for years. Now NIHK is reaping the rewards of its hard work. In many cases, a utility provider will make up to three visits to a delinquent paying customer. The utility provider will typically send field personnel once, to warn the customer of upcoming disconnection, a second time to disconnect power, and a third to reconnect power once payment is made. Costs associated with this process range from $20 to $100 per visit depending on a number of factors such as customer location and number of utility personnel deployed to execute a particular task. Often times, more than one service technician must be deployed at one time due to concerns for the employee's well-being. Nighthawk products are ideal for this application due to their ability to allow for the remote connect/disconnect of energy for delinquent accounts not to mention seasonal residences (which may require multiple visits each year) and customers in remote rural locations. ROI for this application is pretty straightforward. Simply multiply the total number of off- cycle trips taken each year to execute related tasks by the average cost of each visit. Word of mouth isn't just a catchy phrase, at least not at NIHK. Accompanying Nighthawk's recent string of repeat business, news this week drives home the fact that NIHK is thriving in the Utility business. The company first hit the press with news of an initial order for its famed CEO700 units from Cheyenne Light, Fuel & Power Company. The new customer is a subsidiary of Black Hills Corporation (NYSE: BKH) , which services approximately 80,000 residents in more than 1,200 square miles of certificated territory in southeast Wyoming. BKH, in addition to having a nearly $38 stock, has a vast network of utility connections outside of Wyoming (South Dakota, Montana, Western Canada, Rocky Mountain, and Western Regions of the U.S.). Successful implementations with Cheyenne could make NIHK's CEO700 and next-generation products staples in all of its parent company's territories. Nighthawk has also attracted first time business from United Power of Brighton, Colorado, a rural cooperative providing electric service to over 60,000 meters representing more than 120,000 customers across Colorado's northern Front Range. With Q1 orders flying in at record speed, management stating that '06 revenues will outpace 2005 by 70%, a unique and high-demand product and Verizon Wireless (NYSE: VZ) as a key partner; Nighthawk Systems Inc. (OTCBB: NIHK) is a low-cost/highpotential reward venture – especially at under $.07. Do yourself a favor and add a little NIHK to the portfolio. You’ll thank us later. If we haven't given enough good reasons, a brief jaunt through recent press releases and recent Q's should do the trick . While NIHK may not be performing like a $38 stock such as VZ, a substantial ownership position of Nighthawk is obtainable with a fairly insignificant capital investment. Verizon started here and substantial owners have profited the most. NIHK CEO Message/Orders Continue to Roll in
Good morning to all, The following release went out this morning and announces the sale of our NH100’s to a new customer, OKC Broadband, a Wireless Internet Service Provider in Oklahoma City . We continue to see increasing demand for these products that provide ‘out of band’ solutions to Internet Service Providers, who like having a wireless control solution that operates on a separate network. Sales of these units continue to be a major part of our business month-to-month. Doug Here is a copy of Today's newsLabels: M2M, Nighthawk, NIHK, Telemetry
A Message From NIHK CEO Doug Saathoff
To all, The following release went out very early this morning and announces the sale of CEO700 units to Cotton Electric Coop of Oklahoma. I’m on my way to Phoenix this morning, so I had to get the release and this email out early. This is another repeat sale, the result of a successful pilot program implemented last year using the CEO700. Cotton Electric has given us an indication that this could be the first of many repeat orders as they like our solution and want to implement a fairly large remote disconnect program. We are seeing a strong trend among midsized utilities to commit to disconnect programs using our equipment as they recognize that they can start saving money almost immediately by placing our products in the field. I look forward to sharing more news with you soon about how we are enhancing our offering to all of our customers, and how I think that will lead to larger orders from more and larger customers. New Message From Nighthawk CEO Doug Saathoff
Good morning to all! The following press release went out this morning and announces several recent purchases of our NH100 wireless rebooting devices by WisperTel, and Wireless Internet Service Provider (WISP) based in Denver that has been a Nighthawk client since 2004. They have continued to grow, and have continued to purchase our devices as they have expanded their network. Our devices save them the time and expense often associated with driving to remote sites to reboot locked up routers or other digital network components. Our devices also ensure that the network is up and serving customers more reliably. While WisperTel is a public Internet provider, more and more companies are shifting to wireless Internet networks for their own internal communication needs. More and more municipalities are also putting up wireless networks for the public’s use. Hardly a day goes by at Nighthawk that we don’t make a sale of NH100’s to some wireless network provider. This remains a great and growing market for Nighthawk. Also, you may have noticed that we filed an 8-k yesterday, announcing that we have a new director, Ray Romero, who has previously served as Nighthawk’s general counsel. Ray is a great individual and we’re lucky to have him on the board. He’ll be an asset to the Company as we grow and look to partner with other product and service providers. Ray joins the board at the same time that Patrick Gorman and Max Polinsky leave the Nighthawk board. Max and Patrick had been with Nighthawk for several years, and helped a great deal in steering the Company through its early stages while it gained traction in its targeted markets. We plan on looking for new board members in the very near term from within our markets that we believe can help the Company continue and even accelerate its growth. Have a great day! NIHK Becoming an Industry Staple
By making confrontations with irate customers, and at times their trained attack dogs a thing of the past for electrical utilities, Nighthawk Systems Inc.(OTCBB: NIHK) is poised to become an industry staple. Today's announcement of a contract with TriCounty Electric Coop in Pennsylvania exhibits the fact that NIHK is not just selling units. NIHK is positioning itself as more of a partner than a vendor, a strategy that is now paying off greatly. As repeat customers increasingly earmark a portion of their annual budgets for NIHK products and the compan signs on customer at record rates, it looks like 2007 could be a breakout year for the company. NIHK has succeeded at its primary objective of making potential clients aware of its technologies and their capabilities. The company is now making rapid progress on objective #2 begin rapidly and successfully implementing products and creating opportunities for next-generation offerings. With electrical utility organizations pegged as one of a seemingly endless selection of key target demographics, NIHK is building a unique presence in the Machine To Machine (M2M) industry. Nighthawk Continues To Impress
Nighthawk Systems Inc. (OTCBB:NIHK) made some waves in the market Tuesday on news that the company has inked yet another deal with the top U.S. wireless carrier. As a refresher, NIHK's product in demand is the PT1000 remote control board. After purchasing and successfully deploying NIHK's control boards for use in Northern New Jersey to automatically run diesel generators, the dominating wireless provider has placed an additional order to roll the units out across the entire state of New Jersey. Although we love and value the environment every bit as much as the good people over at GreenPeace, we’ll spare you the details regarding the state of New Jersey and its restrictions on usage of diesel generators 37kW or greater in non-emergency situations. The Reader's Digest version is this: diesel generators pollute the environment and state and federal government is ramping up efforts to clean up our air and make the U.S. more environmentally friendly. In order to do so, states around the country, starting with New Jersey are beginning to mandate the automated monitoring and controlling of these machines.
