Milk Proving More Costly Than Gasoline?

Sure, you need less of it to fuel your life than gasoline, but milk now costs more on a per gallon basis.

According to a July report from the Department of Agriculture the average retail price of a gallon of whole milk reached record heights of $3.80 a gallon during August, right before the kiddies went back to school.

And get this... consumers in Georgia were paying as much as $5.00 per gallon for "Moo Juice" during the hot summer months.

Since you likely don't need a glass of milk to get to work in the morning or take the kids to soccer, you may have overlooked the fact that food costs are rising sharply across the US. Just one more thing to take into consideration this year as well all attempt to set up our annual personal budgets.
