DOW INDUSTRIALS HEADING FOR HIGHER GROUND
Stocks continued to rally today on the back of the US Department of Labor's report that an additional 138,000 jobs were added to the economy in April. The additional jobs came in much lower than the 200,000 economists were expecting, but gave Wall Street more confidence in the fact that the Federal Reserve may soon end, or at least pause its long series of rate hikes. The Dow rose above 11,550 in morning trading, less than 200 points from its January 14, 2000, all-time high of 11,723.
